Gunnar Wendel aka Kassem Mosse is an old friend of the festival. In his productions on renowned labels such as Workshop, Honest Jon's or The Trilogy Tapes, the experimental musician and DJ likes to blur the boundaries of electronic dance music. It has become his trademark to reduce sounds to the bare essentials, thereby revealing their core and at the same time eliciting warm and free-flowing jazz and avant-garde characteristics from them. At PORT25 he will play one of his highly acclaimed live acts.

Producer duo Josh Reidy & Joshua Inyang aka Space Afrika hail from Manchester, a city with a rich music history.

While their 2018 album "Somewhere Decent To Live" could still be classified relatively clearly under dub techno, the follow-up "Honest Labour" from 2021 is much more experimental and more difficult to grasp. It gets along almost entirely without drops or kick drums, but you can hear ambient enriched with violins or fragment-like sound collages. It will be very exciting to see how the two perform their highly praised album live!
